The free EA library, explained
The library is the whole site in one page: every .ex4 and .ex5 file ever posted in the Free Forex Ex4 Ex5 Telegram channel, listed by name, platform, size and date. No account, no ads, no unlock step. This post walks through how to use it well, and what to do after you find a file.
What the library actually is
It is a live index. A small job re-reads the public channel feed every few minutes and adds each new file as a row. The site never hosts the files: the download stays on Telegram, and the row simply deep-links to the exact post. That is why the library is always in sync with the channel and why nothing here is a repackaged copy.
Each row shows four things: the file name as posted, the platform (MT4 for .ex4, MT5 for .ex5), the size, and the post date. Month dividers keep long scrolls readable.
Finding a file in seconds
- Search matches any part of the name. Type "gold", "scalp", "grid" or the name someone mentioned in a forum and the list narrows as you type.
- MT4 / MT5 filter hides the platform you do not use. If you run MetaTrader 5 only, switch to MT5 once and every list on the site follows.
- Sort by newest, oldest or name. Newest is the default because most people want to know what dropped this week.
Every file also has its own page under /ea/ with install steps, related files and the same download link, which is what search engines index and what you can share.
What "Get file" does
The button opens t.me/freeex4ex5/<post>. On a phone that opens the Telegram app on the post; on Windows it opens Telegram Desktop or the web client. The download button is on the message itself. If you need the file on a VPS, the Telegram-to-VPS guide covers the three ways to do it.
Reading a file name honestly
Names in the channel come from many authors, so a name is a hint, not a spec. A few patterns worth knowing:

From download to a running EA
- Check the extension: .ex4 for MT4, .ex5 for MT5. If you are unsure which terminal you have, read .ex4 vs .ex5.

What the library will never do
It does not verify, backtest, rank or recommend. A file being listed means only that it was posted. That is deliberate: the site is an index, and the judgement stays with you. If you want the reasoning behind that, why everything here is free explains it.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to sign up to download from the library?
No. There is no account system on metatraderea.shop. Every row links straight to the public Telegram post where the download button lives.
Why does the library show a file but Telegram says the post is unavailable?
Occasionally a post is deleted in the channel after the index picked it up. The index re-reads the channel every few minutes and drops the row on the next pass.
Can I download from the library on my phone?
Yes, the Telegram app opens on the post. Remember that EAs only run in the Windows terminal or on a Windows VPS, so you will need to move the file there.
Are the files in the library modified in any way?
No. The site never hosts or re-uploads files. You always download the original from the channel post.
How do I know if a file is an EA or an indicator?
The name usually says: indicator, arrow, dashboard, scanner and similar words mean an indicator. The file page and the collections also tag indicators separately.
